Benjamin Hubert awarded EDIDA the International Young Designer of the Year 2010 during Milan Salone.

The 25 international editions of the ELLE DECORATION network have awarded Benjamin Hubert this year’s winners of the eighth annual elle decoration international Design Award.

Voted for by the editors of ELLE Decoration all around the world, an EDIDA represents an award of international recognition within the world of design, judged according to twelve different categories.

The work will be on display in the basement of SuperStudio PIU from the 13th - 19th of April.

Patch by Benjamin Hubert launches in Milan for Bla Station

Benjamin Hubert will launch Patch for Bla station on pavilion 8, stand D36 during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, 14th-19th of April 2010.

Patch comprises of a patchwork fabric upholstered onto a plywood shell supported by CNC formed steel legs.

Patch is inspired by the language of flat metal work construction used in civil engineering. The patchwork upholstery detail references industrial sheet steel panel riveting with the flatwork steel completing the relationship.

The range was developed from earlier prototypes of ‘diamond chair’ exhibited in London and Cologne in 2008.
